Blogging is one thing that I love to do, but like every other "job" it kinda blows sometimes. Ok, I know that sounds weird, coming from someone who is a blogger and says they love it, but honestly, blogging takes a lot of work. Especially if you are interested in monetizing. But today we aren't here to talk about the pros and cons of blogging, instead I want to give you three ways to avoid something that all bloggers go through every now and then: an impending blogger burnout.
I can't believe that November is almost over, y'all! I swear it feels like yesterday I was writing my November letter from the editor and telling you about all the things that I wanted to talk about. It's a little weird to think that just in a few days, December will be here, and in less than a month, Christmas. Wow. But let's not dwell on the fact that this year has flown, rather let's talk about my November beauty favorites! This month has been about making me feel good in my skin. I've had some major issues, well my face has some major issues, and I've had to branch out and find products that would mesh well with it. And guess what? I found five new beauty products that I love!
One of my favorite places to shop for makeup has to be Sephora. I love the variety that they have, and the fact that I can go into the store and get samples; meaning I can try most things before I buy. Sephora has come out with so many different kits this season, and I am dying to try them. Today I am sharing five things that I really want from the beautiful store, and since Christmas is quickly approaching, I have teamed up with some fantastic bloggers to give you a chance to win a $200 gift card from Sephora.
Each year in November, people take to Facebook and divulge what they are thankful for, and let me tell you, it's pretty annoying. I mean, people are always posting their statuses daily, and usually people sit there and say, "Day whatever: I'm thankful for my health" or they say family, kids, hubby, and everything else in between that's practical. For me, it's not the fact that they talk about the normal things, like family and whatnot, it's the fact that noone ever says, I'm thankful for OITNB, or Grey's Anatomy, or their cell phone, or the internet; and the reason is simple: noone likes to say they are grateful for materalistic things. But I am.
Here's the deal, since Thanksgiving is tomorrow (I can already smell the pie), I am going to jump on the train, and give you all an idea of what I am actually thankful for- practical and not.
Since July of this year, I have been a stay at home mom. Technically I am employed part-time, but sometimes in my position there aren't any available hours, and there have been weeks that I haven't worked. On the weeks I hadn't worked, I found it hard to find motivation to do anything but sit in front of the computer all day and just watch Facebook videos or even veg out on the couch and binge watch OITNB. But, in the past few weeks I have been trying to change and trying different things to inspire and motivate myself; and I have finally found five things that have helped me find the motivation I've needed.

It's no secret that Christmas is on it's way, and I like everyone else is super excited. But, I have decided to do a little something different this year. I love to help people, and had the idea of just giving to a charity to feel good this year, but when it comes to giving money, I sorta have an issue with just giving it. I really like the idea that companies have come up with- buy a product, and they donate a portion of the proceeds to a charity of some sorts. I feel like it's a win win, and when someone asks about a certain thing that I am wearing, drinking, etc, then I can tell them about the company that I bought the item from, and feel good. Plus, considering that I am a blogger, it drives more traffic to that company.
Today I am going to give you 11 gift ideas for your bestie, your sister, your brother, your mom... anyone that you love, and all the gifts come from companies that give back in some sort of way.
I love doing my makeup, and I love that since I don't have alot of flaws, I can get away with filling in my brows, dusting on some powder, and doing my eyes. And well, my eyes are my favorite feature. Also, I am not a fan of super flashy eye shadows, but I do love a pretty natural eye. And speaking of a pretty natural eye, today I am going to show you how to get the PERFECT natural eye with my FAVORITE palette- the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics.
Ever since I published my post on animal testing and cruelty-free products, I have been looking for more skin care products that I can trust and that are in fact cruelty-free. When I came across the brand Exuviance earlier this year, I immediately fell in love. The brand does have a higher price point, but honestly, I have NEVER read a bad review. I personally believe that the products are high quality, and made with the consumer in mind. I was recently given the chance to try out Exuviance's Purifying Cleansing Gel, and my review is below...
With less than two months until the new year, I've been thinking a lot about the blog lately, and what I have to do to get where I want to be with it. Along with overhauling my email list, I am going to be starting a new series- letters from the editor- and in these posts, I am going detail what readers should expect over the month. I have always been intrigued by the editor snippets in Cosmo and other magazines, so I figured, why not? I personally think it's a fun way to figure out what you are in for.
Without further adieu... November's letter from the editor.
Can anyone else not believe that it's actually November, and that today is THE FIRST FRIDAY? It's crazy! And another thing that's crazy? This week! This week has definitely been one for the record books. So much has gone on from a nice little fun holiday, a family outing, and a huge win for Chicago! So with out further adieu... a little Friday five roundup :)
Today I am back with another great product from one of my personal favorite skin care lines,Valentia. I recently had the chance to review their new Night Revive Retinol Serum and again, I fell in love. I have had the chance to try quite a few of Valentia's products (all via Brandbacker) and I love the line for so many reasons.
