to be thankful

Each year in November, people take to Facebook and divulge what they are thankful for, and let me tell you, it's pretty annoying. I mean, people are always posting their statuses daily, and usually people sit there and say, "Day whatever: I'm thankful for my health" or they say family, kids, hubby, and everything else in between that's practical. For me, it's not the fact that they talk about the normal things, like family and whatnot, it's the fact that noone ever says, I'm thankful for OITNB, or Grey's Anatomy, or their cell phone, or the internet; and the reason is simple: noone likes to say they are grateful for materalistic things. But I am.

Here's the deal, since Thanksgiving is tomorrow (I can already smell the pie), I am going to jump on the train, and give you all an idea of what I am actually thankful for- practical and not.

to be thankful

I am thankful for....

The love from friends and family that surrounds me on a daily basis. Children. Unprompted "I love yous" from the little human that I grew within my body. The comfort and cuddle of an animal when I'm having a bad day.

My husband who has seen me at my best, worst, and crazy, but loves me anyways. My son who can be annoying, irritating, and loving at the same time. My parents who raised me right, and are my biggest supporters (after my husband). A best friend who is my ride or die, who watches my 5 minute snap story, who is in my corner when I need her.

Waking up everyday. The way I feel after a haircut and don't mind paying a rather high price. Starbucks on a cold day. My DVR. Moisturizer. My flat iron.

Birth control. Education, technology, healthcare, and preventative/early detection cancer care. History. Freedom. Kindness.

Social Media. Photography. Lotion. Airplanes that can take you practically anywhere you want to go. Sunshine. Good hair days. Fall. Pumpkin everything.

Happiness. Friendship. Mascara. The beauty of nature. Carbs. Chocolate. Wine. Canva. Target. Puppies.

The internet. My phone. Coca-Cola. Stock photos. Youtube.

A blogging community. Bloggy friends. Blogger friendly companies. Blog readers. You.

What are you thankful for?
