my change to a cruelty free lifestyle

Around mid-2016, I started thinking about the whole idea of cruelty-free products and the possibility of becoming vegan. Unfortunately, due to my love of cheese and ice cream, I am not ready to make a diet change like cutting out all animal products/by-products, but I am ready to start living a semi-cruelty-free-lifestyle.

How bloggers work with brands

If you are new to blogging, you may start asking yourself "when does the free stuff and money start rolling in?" I have been blogging for almost four years now, and honestly, I didn't even think about money until this year- I just wasn't in it for the money I guess. Anyways, bloggers can make money blogging three ways- 1) affiliate sales, 2) selling courses/ebooks/etc, and 3) working with brands. The third one is the easiest and today is all about it.

acne, differin gel, skincare

When I was younger, I really didn't care about skincare products. Sure, I used face wash and the normal things, but I didn't have to worry about acne.

Honestly, it wasn't until I turned 30 that I started to suffer from acne around my time of the month. In a nutshell, my skin can be completely clear until about two weeks before the start of Aunt Flo. Once I start breaking out, I know that it won't go away until the day after I actually start. To be honest, the acne hurts.

I have never actually been to a dermatologist for a prescription, but I have tried exfoliating with baking soda, dousing the area with apple cider vinegar, different acne spot treatments, and more... but nothing had helped. A few weeks ago, I was at Target and found about Differin® Gel. I knew I had to try it, especially because it's supposed to clear acne with the power of Rx!

Hello Monday & a life update

I realize a few weeks ago that I really don't talk about my personal life on here that much. I mean, sure I will give you some advice about beauty, blogging, and parenting, but other than my five on Friday recaps, I don't actually go into detail about what's going on with me. Like the deep stuff. Today, that is going to change. Today I am going to give you a little life update and tell you about four (well, three) crazy things going on in my life.

Dear Mom... thank you

Dear Mom,

I want to thank you. I want to thank you for everything that you have shown, given, and taught me the last thirty-one years.

I want to thank you for being there for me every step of the way. I know that in my teen years, I was sort of a spoiled brat (to put it nicely) and then it carried on into my 20s, but you were always there for me; even if I wanted you to be or not. You were, and still are, my biggest cheerleader. You attempted to show me that no matter what life throws in your way, that you must keep pushing on and have faith in everything you do. It really never sunk it until this past year.

From the makeup brushes to the face masks, and all the high end products lines inbetween, Sephora has my vote for the best beauty store around. To showcase my love for the store, today I am sharing 15 gifts that I know any mom would love this Mother's Day.

His & Her reviews | Harry's Razors

Harry's Razors reviews, Truman Razor, Winston Razor

In my household, razors are the one thing that has become a staple in the bathroom, right next to makeup brushes and toilet paper. The one thing about razors though, is the fact that they can get so expensive. My hubby usually shaves about three to four times a week, he does not use disposables, and his razors are the most expensive- ranging from $24-45 for a pack. It is crazy!

While at Target a few months ago, he brought up the idea of using a razor subscription service. I didn't mind the idea- 1) I also shave (my legs) and 2) men's razors can be pretty darn awesome for women. After doing some research, we decided to try out Harry's

The healthy hair diet- 7 Foods Your Hair Will Love

healthy hair, hair care

Hi all, today I have Lucy Green from and she has something very interesting to tell you about! Take it away, Lucy!

How healthy your hair is can be a reflection of many things. Although genetics do play a large role, other factors can greatly determine how our locks behave.

Stress, lack of sleep, or too much use of heated appliances can all take their toll.

However, many hair problems can be linked to deficiencies in your diet - to what you are or are not eating. By adjusting your daily diet just a little bit you can begin to see and feel the difference in your hair.

April Beauty Favorites

I'm sure it's been said already, but it's kinda crazy to see May already. I mean, school is almost out and Summer is like a hop, skip, and a jump away! It feels like just last month I was sending Lil Man to his first day of Kindergarten, and now in less than 20 some days, he's going to be an almost first grader. Ugh! Anyways, a new month means a recap of some new beauty favorites. So without further adieu- my April beauty favorites...
