Ever since I published my post on animal testing and cruelty-free products, I have been looking for more skin care products that I can trust and that are in fact cruelty-free. When I came across the brand Exuviance earlier this year, I immediately fell in love. The brand does have a higher price point, but honestly, I have NEVER read a bad review. I personally believe that the products are high quality, and made with the consumer in mind. I was recently given the chance to try out Exuviance's Purifying Cleansing Gel, and my review is below...
I have used a few products from Exuviance and have never been disappointed. For those of you who aren't familiar with the brand, Exuviance was created by doctors that are widely recognized as leaders in the field of cosmetic dermatology. They discovered the antiaging benefits of Glycolic Acid and created and patented the first Glycolic Peel. My thoughts:
When I first heard of the cleansing gel, I had really high expectations. Like I said earlier, I have tried a few products from the Exuviance line, and have fallen in love with every product. The cleansing gel was no different. It met all my expectations and more.
My skin has been a bit irritated lately, and at the end of the night, I don't like using a cleansing cloth, so I generally will use a makeup remover and then wash my face. When I received the cleansing gel, I decided to use it instead of using the makeup remover, and guess what- it took off every speck of makeup on my face. Not only did it take off EVERY SPECK OF MAKEUP, but it also left my skin feeling clean, plus I didn't have any tightness, dryness, or irritation. But the best thing- it didn't smell like a cleanser- it smelt like a cross between green apple and watermelon.
Once I run out, I will be buying another bottle, because I am obsessed with this cleansing gel. I also recommend it to anyone that is a mother, interested in anti-aging, or someone who needs a multi-tasking cleanser.
