It ain't no joke that Summer is on its way, and all confessions aside, I'm really not a fan of the season. Sure I love the swimming, walking on the beach, bbqs, sports, longer days, and other things, but I HATE the heat. I mean, I hate it with a passion. I live in Northwest Indiana, and combination of humidity and heat seriously suck for a bigger gal like me. And then sometimes my allergies perk up in the summer months (yeah, I'm that person that gets a cold in the summer) and I can't breathe in the humidity, or I get burned because the sun is way too close to the earth and the atmosphere is way too thin... yeah, I'm just not a fan of the heat. Period. To be honest, fall is my jam. But we are not here to talk about all the reasons that a light skin person burns in direct sunlight, we are here to talk about my top five beauty essentials that help summer be a little bit more bearable for me; including a new holy grail beauty product that has become my go-to.
Summer is for no-hassle messy, beach hair. This formula from Bumble and Bumble is great for my damaged hair, and helps me take a break from heat styling. The cream enhances my natural texture, smooths fly-aways, and doesn't weight down my already thin hair. A must for on the go.
When it comes to a day cream, I always pick on with SPF due to my fair skin. I love that this cream is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and Phthalates this formula protects skin from sunlight, including UVA, UVB, infrared, and visible light to support antiaging. And it boasts an amazing SPF 30.
After applying a day cream with SPF, I love to use a BB cream that also has SPF. This one has a rating of 27, is easy to use, and the coverage is great. Plus it doesn't tend to melt off my face, which is a life saver when I don't have any setting spray handy.
With an SPF rating of 15, the Fresh Sugar Rose is great for dryness and rough texture as it moisturizes, protects, and smooths. The color is beautiful, with a sheer hint of rose, and the formula feels luxurious on my lips.
Whether it be playing at the park, sunning at the beach, running errands, or whatever summer's hot temperatures throw at me, evian facial spray is there.
