Thirsty Thursday | July Book Recap

Hello Lovelies!

I read a total of 3 books in July. I didn't stick with a certain troupe, but they were all romance and fiction. This month, I am going to give a synopsis along with my review, and I am going to put my ratings in order (5*-1*).

How I read
I read on Kindle Unlimited, and I do that for a few reasons: 1) convenience- the books are literally at the tip of my fingers, and 2) it's cheaper. Kindle Unlimited is only $10 a month and it works like the library- you borrow a book and then return it. You can have up to 20 books in your "library" at a time, which does not include the books you do buy. You can still buy Kindle copies of books and there are a bunch of authors that offer Kindle Unlimited books.

This month I read Kindle Unlimited, like usual. I also bought a few paperback copies of books, so I hope to showcase them soon!

The rating system
  • 1* Eh, not memorable
  • 2* Just ok.
  • 3* Good book, definitely recommend reading.
  • 4* Great book, can live without a print copy.
  • 5* Wow, would read again. Probably will get a print copy for my library at home.

Give Me More (Salicious Players' Club)- Sara Cate // 5*

Synopsis from Amazon
I’m a scoundrel

Playboy. Man whore.

Basically, I get around, and I’m not afraid to admit it.

So when my best friend opens up Salacious Players’ Club and asks me to head the construction, how could I say no?

Now we’re on a cross-country road trip touring other kink clubs, and I couldn’t be happier.

Life is good.

Then Hunter suddenly asks me to sleep with his wife…while he watches.

I’ll do anything for my best friend, but this is the one request I should say no to.

Isabel is the woman of my dreams, but she’s his.

And the exact reason I should say no is the one reason I say yes.

Because it’s not only Isabel I want.

These are the two most important people in my life, and if we go down this path, how will I ever be able to walk away?

I’m not sure my best friend understands just how much I’m willing to do for him—and why.

My Review
This is the 3rd book in the Salicious Players' Club series and it did not disappoint! It was hot! I loved the dynamics between Hunter, Isabel, and Drake! The three look good in a poly relationship!

Bittersweet Memories (Off Limits)- Catharina Maura // 4*

Synopsis from Amazon
When her boyfriend breaks her heart, Alanna goes after his older brother in a quest for revenge.

It would have been simple — if he wasn’t also her new boss.

As they work together it soon becomes clear Silas knows more about her than he should.

He knows about the past she's forgotten and the memories that evade her... but some secrets are better left buried.

My Review
There is so much to say about this book, and if I say it, it will basically spoil everything and you need to go in blind. The sexy scenes are hot! The banter is hot! And the Silas, the boss is H.O.T. HOT! Go read it!

Terms and Conditions (Dreamland Billionaires Book 2)- Lauren Asher // 4*

Synopsis from Amazon
I’m destined to become the next CEO of my family’s media empire.
The only problem? My grandfather’s inheritance clause.
Fulfilling his dying wish of getting married and having an heir seemed impossible until my assistant volunteers for the job.
Our marriage was supposed to be the perfect solution to my biggest problem.
But the more we act in love for the public, the more unsure I feel about our contract.
Caring about Iris was never part of the deal.
Especially not when breaking her heart is inevitable.

My plan to marry Declan was simple in theory.
Move in together. Throw a wedding. Have a baby.
We set rules to prevent any kind of issues.
Ones that were never meant to be broken, no matter how much Declan tempts me.
But what happens when our fake relationship bleeds into our real one?
Falling in love was never an option.
At least not for me.

My Review
Though there were some laggy parts, overall, I really liked this book. I am not usually a fan of angst, and there was a lot of it... but it was worth it in the end!
