3 last minute activities to get you in the holiday spirit

three last minute holiday activities to do in Chicago

Hey hey, Christmas is only like five days away, and it's time to get a little excited! All the shopping, decorating, baking, wrapping, and card writing is about to culminate into one beautiful holiday! Personally, I haven't done a lot of holiday activities this year... like the baking and major decorating (besides putting up a tree), instead I have been concentrating on family activities and spending time with those close to me.

Recently, the hubby and I had a date night in Chicago, and it was pretty fun. It really got me into the holiday mood, and yes, you all should take in these three last minute holiday activities.

1 | Chicago Holiday Lights Trolley Ride

Tour Chicago via trolley, seeing the seasonal light displays on the Magnificent Mile, State Street and Macy's Holiday Windows, and the Christmas Tree at Millenium Park. With trolley stops at the Christkindlmarket and Lincoln Park ZooLights, the night is sure to get you into that holiday mood.
Check website for hours and price.

3 | Christkindlmarket Chicago

An outdoor market located on Daley plaza in the Chicago Loop, the Christkindlmarket is inspired by a traditional market in Nuremberg, Germany, which began in 1545. The market brings German and European tradition to Chicago, and features many vendors, which serve typical German food and drink & sell handcrafted Christmas ornaments and decor.
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 11am - 8 pm, Friday - Saturday 11 am - 9 pm
Closes: December 24
Price: Free

This time of the year is one of the best times to be in Chicago. They really go all out to light up the city and to get people into the Holiday Spirit. If you decide to partake in the the activities above, be sure to dress warm, because they don't call it the Windy City for nothing.

Also, if you are ever in Lincoln Park, stop by Max and Leo's Pizza inside of King's Bowl, and try their AH-MAZING homemade pizza.

Have you ever done any of the activities I talked about?
