2014 in review | January through June

Some people compare blogging to keeping a diary, and I have to say I really do agree with them. I have been wanting to do a yearly recap post- split up into 4 posts of course (because who really wants to sit through twelve months of rehashing things?), and Emily from Emmy Mom is giving me the chance to link up your weekly reviews AND win some great prizes!

This week is supposed to be April, May, & June, but I since I kinda missed Jan, Feb, & March, I'm going to add those in as well. Why? Because nothing really of note actually happened during the first fourth of the year :)

January

Personal Life:
Nothing really happened... except there was a lot of snow. And we started seeing the "second opinion" back surgeon for the hubby.

February

Personal Life:
In February, my hubby turned 35, and we celebrated with a night out and then cake with out Lil Man!

March

Personal Life:
March was the month of new phones... the hubby and I upgraded to out Samsung Galaxy S4's, and I was welcomed with both arms into the world of apps and the best camera ever. I also signed up for Birchbox and haven't looked back since!

April

Personal Life:
I opened my Etsy Shop: tiny wishes creations, my brother was in a car accident, the hubby broke out in a red rash all over his body (allergic reaction due to an antibiotic), and my bestie came to see me! We also celebrated Easter and had alot of fun with bubbles!

Blog Wise:
I posted my first ever beauty product review, talked about how to survive a bad haircut, raved about my favorite things about being a blogger, and made fun of myself when I detailed my top 10 Instagram fails.

May

Personal Life:
We visited the zoo & circus, Lil Man rode his first horse, my parents opened their pool, & I finally graduated with my Master's degree. I attended Graduation, we went to Ohio on a beer run, and spent the day watching a tractor pull in an Amish town.

June

Personal Wise:
My momma turned 50, I fell inlove with the peonies in my yard that my Great-Grandmother planted like 7 years ago, and we took a family trip to the beach.

Blog Wise:
It's rather amazing on how many things happened during the first half of the year. But it was really nice to take a look back.

What did your first half of the year look like?

  5. Looks like you had a wonderful start to the year! Scary about the back surgery and the allergic reaction that you hubby dealt with though. Glad you were able to recap with us!
