the perfect Fall women's watch

There have been so many JORD watches floating around social media lately, and I was so excited when JORD reached out and wanted to work with me for one main reason: all of their watches are beautiful! They are simple, cool, stylish, easy to care for, and best of all, they are made of wood. Yes, I just said wood. How awesome is that?

My jewelry style is pretty minimal: I usually only wear my wedding rings, an anniversary ring, a long necklace, and a watch. I have had a silver watch for over ten years now, and have been trying to send it to the company to fix some scratches, but just haven't gotten around to it. When looking at the array of JORD watches, I wanted a watch that wouldn't overpower my wrist, and go with everything.

I chose the Fieldcrest Zebrawood and Maple because it looked like a work of art. It wasn't too dark or light, and due to the wood, it reminded me of Fall, my favorite season. I also tend to wear a lot of dark colors, so I knew the watch would be a great fit.

When my JORD watch arrived, I was so happy! A few months ago, I went back to work at the non-profit I was at before tutoring in juvenile detention, and they told me that I needed to cover up my wrist tattoo. I was at a loss of what to do. With the high temps lately, I didn't want to have to wear long sleeves all the time. As soon as the watch arrived, I tried it on to ensure the fit. I was ecstatic to discover that since I tend to wear my watches higher on my wrist, with the face on the underside, the watch's face was large enough to cover 90% of my tattoo!!

I've had my watch for about two weeks now and I am infatuated with it: I wear it every day. I have started adding subtle colors with it, and love how it looks.

The best thing about the Fieldcrest Zebrawood and Maple watch is the fact that it (and every other watch) features scratch-resistant mineral glass. I am a mom, so it's nice to know that when I am constantly running, I don't have to worry about my watch getting ruined. Of course, since the watch is made out of wood, it's splash-proof, but not submerge-proof when it comes to water. Yes, I can wear it in the rain, while I'm doing dishes, or washing my hands, but if I am going to go swimming, my watch can't go. But then again, who would swim with a wood watch on?

All of the other watches are very beautiful, and I have already told my husband that I want another one for Christmas... the Cora Koa & Rose Gold
