five things I'm excited to do this weekend

If you have been reading for awhile, you would know that I now have a M-F day job, and that I have been slacking a bit on the whole blogging front. I wish I could tell you that it's going to change rather soon, but I can't determine that as of yet.

But I can tell you that I super done with the whole weekly recaps every Friday. Why? Because my weeks are generally the same- I work and then come home to an excited little face.

So instead of recapping what happened this week, I am going to tell you what I am excited to do this weekend!

one || have a day off & go see Fast 7
I am basically a teacher's aide and since I work in government, I am able to have holidays off- so I knew that I was going to have Good Friday off about two weeks ago. And it's a good thing, because Thursday was my 19th straight day... and I am exhausted. I am just happy to be able to "sleep in" and not have to get ready immediately after waking up. I also made plans with my my parents and we are taking  Lil Man to his very FIRST movie at the theater, have some laundry that is calling my name... and a bottle of wine that needs to be drank :)

two || eat some steak
Instead of the traditional Easter dinner, my parents are throwing around the idea of having steaks, on the grill.  I am really looking forward to the possibility! But I also kinda have a taste for ham...

three || hide eggs in my parents yard and then watch Lil Man go find them
I love being a parent... and all the parental things that encircle the holidays. Easter is fun for me, because I get to hide eggs from the Easter Bunny in my parents yard, and then let the lil man loose on them. He gets so excited about opening the eggs and it just melts my heart.

four || spend quality time with my family
I feel as if I haven't spent more than five minutes with my son and most of all, husband, in the past week. Easter is going to be the first day that both of them are going to see me for a whole 24 hours, and they will most definitely have my undivided attention.

five || catch up on some blog reading
On my lunch breaks, I have been trying to catch up with my blog reading. Some posts I loved have been Erin's Stitch Fix Review,  Samantha and Becca's Blogger Men Tell All link up, Sarah's Practical Relaxation techniques, How March Crushed Rachael, but she was able to push back, Amanda's Must have nail colors for Spring, and Anne's tutorial to Canva. But I am looking forward to reading so many more this weekend!

What are you most excited about doing this weekend?

    I too am super excited about seeing Jack hunt for Easter eggs. I think we are going to do our Easter thing on Saturday because it is suppose to rain on Sunday (ugh!). I am excited for Jack to see his Easter basket full of goodies. I think we are going to have a nice calm weekend at home and I for one am super excited about it.
