Why I chose the Fitbit Charge 3 over the Versa

I have been a lover of the idea of Fitbit for the past two years, and back in June of 2017, I finally got my hands on a Charge 2. I loved how it felt on my arm, the ease of a watch in a stylish band, the room it left for my bracelets, and even the fact that I could get all of my notifications at the vibrate of a text.

Around November I started throwing around the idea of getting the Fitbit Versa. I loved how it looked on my friends, the fact that they could get the weather right there, the touch screen, and everything else. So after getting my Christmas money, I decided to go for it and bought a Fitbit Versa.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the way that it covered up my bracelets and that the face was just too big for you me. However, I did like the way it looked and felt on my wrist, and the fact that I could add music to it. It was also comfortable... and it looked sleek as anything. But, at the time, it just wasn't for me.

You see, I am not a fitness gal. I don't work out- except for chasing after little kids every day, I don't go to the gym, and I don't have a personal trainer. For me, my Fitbit is a timer, a notification sender, a watch, step counter, and sleep tracker. I don't use it for the fitness perspective.

But that's the thing of a Versa- it's a smart watch. It's a fitness smart watch. It has little workouts programmed into it and you can access them at the touch of a finger, it has an app for barcodes for your favorite rewards cards and an app for Starbucks, an app for weather, a calculator, and more. It is a fully loaded smart watch and unfortunately it wasn't for me.

Once I decided to take the Versa back to Target, I researched what Fitbits were on the market and came upon the Charge 3- the new to the market upgraded version of my Charge 2.

The Charge 3 had all the fun stuff that the Versa had, like weather, notifications, and what not, but didn't look like it was huge. From the pictures, I knew I had to at least check it out.

I went to Best Buy and bought the Charge 3. I figured that if I didn't like it, then I would just take it back.

In short, I fell in love with the Charge 3. It is swim proof, has a 7 day battery, has the weather, gives me notifications, sleep tracking, and of course, goal based exercises. It also looks great on my wrist with my Pura Vida bracelets and is soooo comfortable (which is great for sleeping).

I also love the rose gold and marine blue color that the Charge 3 has. It's so pretty to me. Oh, and that battery life? WOW! They weren't kidding.

So that's why I chose the Fitbit Charge 3 over the Versa.

Do you own a Fitbit? Which one?
Ps. This is not a sponsored post. Yes, if Fitbit ever got ahold of this, I would love to do a full review on the Versa #justsaying, but nothing was exchanged for this post. I just wanted to post my views.

Fitbit, charge 3
